甲虫是地球上物种多样性最为丰富的生物类群，具有重要的生态意义和经济价值。本文作者在系统梳理大量文献的基础上，结合自身的研究实践与学术体会，对中国甲虫的分类研究历史、物种多样性、分类专家及其主要贡献、代表性成果及目前存在问题进行了全面总结与深入分析，并对该领域未来的研究方向提出展望。
英文摘要：
Beetles
are the most species-rich group of insects on Earth, and have significant
ecological and economic value. Based on a systematic review of the relevant
literature and our own research experience, this paper comprehensively
summarizes and analyzes progress in research on the taxonomy and species
diversity of beetles, prominent researchers in this field and their
contributions, representative achievements, and current problems impeding
research on Chinese beetles. Prospects for future research are proposed.
